Parry Sound singer-songwriter Sully Burrows scored six nominations for the 14th annual CMAOntario Awards, taking place Sunday, May 31 at Port Credit Memorial Arena in Mississauga.

Nate Haller (Waterloo) is next with five nominations, followed by Olivia Mae Graham (Norfolk County) with four nominations. Robyn Ottoline (Uxbridge), Owen Riegling (Mildmay in Bruce County) Jessica Sevier (Toronto) and Sacha Warkworth) had three nominations each.

As far as the big prizes, Burrows is up for single of the year for ‘Rally Around,’ album of the year for ‘Somewhere in a Small Town’ and male artist of the year; Haller for male artist of the year and best single; Graham for female artist of the year and album of the year; Ottolini for single of the year for ‘Airplane Bottle’; Riegling for male artist of the year and top single; Sevier for single of the year and female artist of the year; James Barker Band for single of the year, album of the year (‘One of Us’) and band of the year; and Sacha for album of the year and female artist of the year.

Hosted by multi CMAOntario, CCMA, and SOCAN Award winner Jason Blaine and Country Nights host Sam McDaid, the CMAOntario Awards Show will close out the CMAOntario Festival & Awards Weekend from May 29-31.

The CMAOntario Awards celebrate the talent and achievements of Ontario’s country music industry, honouring artists and industry professionals across 17 categories, along with special awards.
