CDC and public health officials in several states and the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) are investigating a multistate outbreak of Salmonella infections linked to recalled frozen sprouted beans that may be contaminated with Salmonella. If you have any of these recalled products in your home, throw them out or return them to the store.
This map shows where the 11 people in this Salmonella outbreak lived.
This outbreak may not be limited to the states with known illnesses, and the true number of sick people is likely much higher than the number reported. This is because many people recover without medical care and are not tested for Salmonella.
Recalled products were distributed nationwide.
