A baker from Brampton is planning an exotic trip and is donating funds to local charities after winning a $100,000 lottery prize.
Ravinder Arora has been playing lottery games using the OLG app for the last five years, saying he never misses a Lotto Max draw.
“I got up in the middle of the night to get a drink of water and noticed an email on my phone that said, ‘Big Winner,’” Arora said of his recent win.
“I immediately logged into the OLG app to see my prize. When I saw I won $100,000, I was so happy and excited. I woke up my wife to tell her the wonderful news.”
Arora matched the last six of seven Encore numbers in exact order in the Feb. 27 Lotto Max draw, winning $100,000.
Ravinder said he was in a state of disbelief and shock after the win, and says he plans to use some of the money for a trip to Australia and New Zealand.
He also wants to donate to local food banks and charities, and save the rest “for a rainy day.”
Encore offers 22 ways to win and can be played with most lottery games for an extra $1. The OLG says it supports safe play and responsible gambling through its PlaySmart program.
The winning ticket was purchased on OLG.ca.
