Canadian receiver Nolan Ulm took part in the joint pro day between Eastern Washington University and Washington State University on Monday in Pullman, Wash.

The native of Kelowna, B.C., measured in at just under six-foot-two and 196 pounds, before running an unofficial 4.71-second forty-yard dash, per sources. He also ran a 4.46-second short shuttle and 7.29-second three-cone, while jumping 34 inches in the vertical, nine-feet, 10-inches in the broad, and put up 12 reps of 225 pounds on the bench press.

Ulm’s forty-yard dash would have been the seventh fastest among receivers at last weekend’s CFL Combine in Edmonton. Both jumps and the bench press would have placed him middle of the pack, while his shuttle and three-cone would have been the second slowest among participants.

According to multiple reports, the Seattle Seahawks, Washington Commanders, Chicago Bears, San Francisco 49ers, Green Bay Packers, and Arizona Cardinals all had scouts in attendance. The B.C. Lions and Hamilton Tiger-Cats were the only two CFL teams to send representatives.

Ulm was the 17th-ranked prospect on the CFL’s winter Scouting Bureau list, dropping eight spots after a disappointing senior season at Eastern Washington in which he caught 27 passes for just 228 yards and one touchdown. That came on the heels of a 2024 campaign in which he was limited to four games due to a high ankle sprain and was forced to medically redshirt.

His best season came in 2023, when he finished second on the Eagles in receiving yardage behind current New England Patriot Eftton Chism III. In 57 career games across six seasons, Ulm has recorded 117 receptions for 1,330 yards and 11 touchdowns. He has also been a core piece of the special teams unit, collecting 19 career tackles.

Ulm was honoured for his efforts off the field in 2025, being named to the American Football Coaches Association’s Good Works Team after raising more than $22,500 for single mothers. He was also a semi-finalist for the William V. Campbell Trophy as the top scholar-athlete in college football.

The 2026 CFL Draft is scheduled for Tuesday, April 28, at 7:00 p.m. EDT.
