Posted on social media and later transferred to X, the short video shows two young male students in a violent fist fight in a school hallway.
At one point, one student was on top of another and was landing numerous blows to his head as students looked on.
The profane exchange then switches to an apparent edit of the video that now shows what is believed to be the same two students in the school yard.
At one point, who is believed to be the student on the ground appears to be pointing a handgun at another student — believed to be the person who was throwing the punches.
In this screen grab, a male is seen pointing a handgun at another male during a fight at a Mississauga school. @chopsnitin/X
Peel Regional Police on Tuesday said they were still investigating.

“It came in as a weapons dangerous call,” Peel Deputy Chief Marc Andrews said.
The probe is in the early stages.
Police say they will update the public when they have a better handle on just what did transpire there.
What is known is there has been an “ongoing dispute.”
Peel colice confirmed the fight and the gun being pulled and aimed at a student.

They say they have also determined it to be a “BB gun.”
Police sources say this occurred Monday afternoon at Ascension of Our Lord Secondary School at 7640 Anaka Dr, in Mississauga.
There are social media reports that the school was put into a lockdown at the time.
Police say they are also now in possession of social media posts indicating there was a possible feud between students, prior to the fight and pulled gun.

There will be “more details” once it’s been further investigated, Andrews said.
At this time, there is no information on whether charges are pending. The Dufferin Peel Catholic School Board has not yet commented.
This appears to be another disturbing gun incident at a high school this month. Earlier, some students were arrested in the community centre section of the property that holds St. Aloysius Gonzaga Catholic school.
Charges were laid there. There is no suggestion these are related. But it does suggest there is a problem.
There will be more to say about this when more information comes in.
But for now, there is more concern about the kind of violence going on in Ontario schools — this time a dangerous fight and possibly gun pointed at a student.
