The Mohawks of the Bay of Quinte are advising that the Department of Fisheries and Oceans (DFO) will be conducting fieldwork on the Salmon River between July 18th and 22nd.
Crews will be using backpack and electrofishing equipment for live release assessment of the fish community as part of the ongoing efforts to monitor and control the invasive Sea Lamprey population.
Community members may see staff working in and around the river during this time.
