In less than three months, Vancouver will play a part in hosting the world’s biggest soccer tournament.
And, if you don’t have a ticket to one of the matches, joining a FIFA World Cup party in Metro Vancouver might be the next best thing.
Canada Soccer announced today that an iconic Lower Mainland location will host one of the biggest soccer parties during the FIFA World Cup.
The “Uber Eats Canada Soccer House North Vancouver” is coming to The Shipyards during the 2026 FIFA World Cup, giving fans a free place to celebrate.
“We are thrilled to welcome Canada Soccer House,” City of North Vancouver mayor Linda Buchanan said in a press release.
“This landmark global event will unite thousands of fans in the heart of our world-class Shipyards District, where the excitement of the tournament will be matched by the energy, hospitality, and breathtaking waterfront setting that define our community.”
Fans who visit the Canada Soccer House in North Vancouver can expect athlete meet-and-greets, fan programming, interactive games, prizes, and more.
“We warmly welcome residents, visitors, and soccer fans from near and far to celebrate the games and experience everything that makes our vibrant city so special,” Buchanan said.
The Lower Mainland action for FIFA won’t just be happening in North Vancouver. There will also be the FIFA Fan Festival Vancouver, where some noteworthy musicians will take the stage at the PNE Amphitheatre.
Before the FIFA World Cup kicks off, fans can also see the official trophy in Vancouver later this month.
Canada’s first game for the FIFA World Cup will take place on June 12 at Toronto Stadium. Surprisingly, they won’t be facing Italy and instead will play Bosnia and Herzegovina. Canada’s first game at BC Place will take place on June 18 against Qatar.
Australia and Türkiye will play the first FIFA World Cup game at BC Place on Friday, June 13.
