Corey Day earned the best finish of his NASCAR O’Reilly Series career last weekend, finishing second at Martinsville Speedway. The Clovis, California, native currently holds the longest active top-10 streak in the NOAPS this season with six. Through seven races, the three drivers with the most top-10 finishes, including Day, all compete with Hendrick Motorsports engines. The 20-year old’s current average finish of 8.7 ranks second all-time among full-time Hendrick Motorsports drivers in the NOAPS through the first seven races of a season behind only Jack Sprague in 2002 (7.3). Day will make his first NOAPS start at Rockingham Speedway this Saturday after participating in a pair of tests, one in February 2026 and the other in January 2025. He also made a Rockingham start in the CRAFTSMAN Truck Series last season.

Corey Day, driver of the No. 17 Chevrolet, on momentum heading into Rockingham Speedway: “Rockingham will be an exciting track for me, especially following my run at Martinsville. I ran in [the CRAFTSMAN Truck Series] there last year and in the [NASCAR] O’Reilly [Series] car for a test, so I feel like I have a good understanding of the track. Really happy with the way we’ve been running and looking forward to keeping it up this weekend.”
