A new boxing ring is now part of a growing investment in youth programs in Kansas City.A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held Wednesday at the Police Athletic League of Kansas City boxing gym off White Avenue, where members and leaders gathered to celebrate the addition.The gym, which serves young people across the area, has also received new equipment through donations and community partnerships.Leaders with the Police Athletic League and the Kansas City Police Department say the upgrades are aimed at expanding opportunities for youth and strengthening community connections through sports.
