A young racer with Flatlanders Speedway is already celebrating success ahead of the 2026 season.
Leland Gale captured first place in the Track Competition division at the Calgary World of Wheels show over the weekend, earning top honours for his No. 99x KidMod race car.
The award recognizes the quality and presentation of race vehicles on display, with Gale’s entry standing out among a field of competitive cars at the high-profile event.

Gale, who has been racing for about six years after starting at a young age, said the recognition was an exciting moment as he continues to grow in the sport.
His family, who were also in attendance, helped showcase the car while promoting Flatlanders Speedway, engaging with fans and highlighting grassroots racing in Saskatchewan.
Organizers praised Gale and his team for representing the sport and contributing to its continued growth.
The young driver is expected to return to the track when the Flatlanders Speedway season opens with the CAN/AM Clash on June 6 and 7, where fans will get a chance to see the award-winning car in action.
