Priso, 23, has undergone an MRI and the team says it will update his condition when more information is available.

A native of Toronto, Priso incurred the injury during international duty earlier this week. Making his first appearance with Canada, a start against Tunisia on Tuesday night, Priso was forced off after only 26 minutes following a sliding challenge on winger Sayfallah Ltaief. Portland Timbers veteran Kamal Miller came on in his stead with the match finishing as a scoreless draw at BMO Field.

A product of the Toronto FC academy, Priso made his senior debut for the team in 2020. He was dealt to the Colorado Rapids in 2022. After two seasons in Denver, he was dealt to the Whitecaps ahead of the 2024 season. Converted from midfielder to centre-back, Priso was a key component of the Whitecaps’ run to both the MLS Cup Final and the CONCACAF Champions Cup Final in 2025.

For his career, Priso has made 107 appearances across seven MLS seasons, including all five of the Whitecaps’ matches in 2026.
