Winnipeg Jets defenceman Elias Salomonsson left Thursday’s game against the Dallas Stars and did not return.
After the game Jets head coach Scott Arniel told reporters that Salomonsson is in concussion protocol.
He suffered the injury on a hard high hit from Stars forward Jason Robertson midway through the second period. Robertson was not penalized on the play.

The blueliner had played 8:56 before departing and was a minus-2 with one hit on the night. The Stars went on to win 3-0.
The 21-year-old Salomonsson is in his first NHL season and has one goal and four assists in 32 games so far this season. He was selected in the second round (No. 55 overall) by the Jets in the 2022 NHL Draft.
After their game against the Stars, Winnipeg will be back in action on Saturday against the Columbus Blue Jackets.
