A Kanata driver is facing impaired driving charges after registering over four time the legal limit.
Ottawa OPP say they received a call regarding a possible impaired driver on Highway 417 around 4 p.m. Thursday.
Officers responded to the area near Pinecrest Road and located the driver.
In speaking with the driver, police suspected him, to be under the influence of alcohol.
A roadside screening device was administered and the driver was brought back to the detachment where they registered more than four times the legal limit.
Sarith Pick, 56. mow faces the following chanrges:
Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs;
Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration 80 plus; and
Dangerous operation.
The accused’s licence was suspended for 90 days and his vehicle was impounded for seven days. he is set to appear in court in Ottawa at a later date.
