Jacksonville Jaguars kicker Cam Little drilled the NFL’s first 70-yard field goal on Saturday night, but it will not count for the official NFL record.
How could this be?! Well, Little drilled his 70-yard field goal in a home preseason game against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Since the field goal wasn’t made in a regular season game, it will not break the overall record.

Former Baltimore Ravens kicker Justin Tucker holds the league’s official record for his 66-yard field goal from the 2021 regular season. Little’s kick clears that by multiple yards, but it wasn’t in an official NFL game.
Preseason games don’t count for NFL records for some reason, so Little will have to hold the unofficial title instead of the official one. However, that doesn’t take away from his incredible achievement.
Who is Cam Little?
Little is a former sixth-round pick out of Arkansas who kicked for Jacksonville as a rookie last year.
