We are only a few weeks from the start of the 2026 WNBA season, and rosters for the league’s two expansion teams are beginning to take shape. On Friday, the WNBA Expansion Draft was held as the Toronto Tempo and Portland Fire began preparations for their inaugural campaigns.

Toronto selected 11 players in the expansion draft, including former Connecticut Sun star guard Marina Mabrey.

The Tempo is the WNBA’s first-ever team based outside of the United States and in Canada, and will play their home games at the Coca-Cola Coliseum, which is home to the PWHL’s Toronto Sceptres and the AHL’s Toronto Marlies, which are the farm team for the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Who will be suiting up for the Tempo in their inaugural campaign?
