WASHINGTON – The Georgetown University women’s golf program makes the short trip to College Park, Maryland for the Terps Invitational on Sunday and Monday, April 5-6. The 16-team field will play the 54-hole tournament hosted by the University of Maryland on the par-72, 6,244-yard course at the Maryland Golf Course. The field features a pair of ranked teams with No. 33 Kentucky and No. 37 Virginia in the mix.

The tournament will begin on Sunday, April 5, with 36 holes scheduled before the final 18 on Monday, April 6 with an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start on each day.

After 54 holes at the City of Oaks Collegiate, hosted by NC State University, the Georgetown University women’s golf team finished seventh among the 13-team field. The two-day, 54-hole tournament was held on the par-72, 6,168-yard course at the Lonnie Poole Golf Club in Raleigh, North Carolina. The tournament boasted a field of 13 Division I teams with the Hoyas carding a 60-over 924 (309-299-316). The 44th-ranked hosts Wolfpack won the tournament at 24-over 888 (296-286-308). 

 
ABOUT THE HOYAS


Georgia Ruffolo is in the top spot of the lineup for the Hoyas. Most recently she took the top spot for the Hoyas on the leaderboard, finishing 16th overall at 14-over 230 (78-74-78), moving up 12 spots over the final round. She totaled eight birdies (2/3/3) and 29 pars (10/11/8).
Second in the lineup will be Catherine Qiu. At the City of Oaks Collegiate, Qiu jumped 14 spots on the final day to finish 22nd at 15-over 231 (77-76-78). Over three rounds, she managed four birdies (2/1/1) and 34 pars (11/12/11).
Sunny Wang also had a solid third round in her last outing as she moved up 12 spots to finish 27th at 16-over 232 (77-77-78). She recorded four birdies (1/2/1) and 33 pars (11/11/11) over 54 holes and will be the third Hoya in the lineup.
Milla Sagel is fourth in the lineup. She tied for 35th at 18-over 234 (80-72-82). She tallied five birdies (1/3/1) and 34 pars (10/13/11).
After competing as an individual at City of Oaks, Mimi Burton moves into the last spot of the lineup for the Terps Invitational. Burton also tied for 35th at 18-over 234 (77-74-83). Over three rounds she totaled three birdies (0/3/0) and 33 pars (13/10/10).
Gabriella Eifrig will compete as an individual this weekend. She finished 68th overall at 28-over 244 (77-81-86). Her 54 holes saw five birdies (3/1/1) and 23 pars (8/11/4).

 
HOYAS X TERPS INVITATIONAL


A season ago, the Hoyas battled weather conditions to put together the best team score from the third round to move up four spots and take third place overall at the Terps Invitational. With a three-round score of 21-over 885 (299-293-293), Georgetown was one stroke behind High Point and one stroke ahead of the host Terrapins.
On the final day, Eifrig moved up 14 spots on the leaderboard to take the top spot for the Blue & Gray. She used a 1-under 71 in the third round, the best round for a Hoya in the tournament, to finish tied for 11th at 3-over 219 (73-75-71) with six birdies (2/0/4) and 40 pars (14/15/11).
