Re: Removal of Hello Weather telephone service

Removal of easy access Hello Weather telephone service is a dumb, dumb, dumb decision. Hello Weather is an early warning weather system that connected Canadians all across Canada and did not exclude remote areas. The telephone service provided trustworthy information; refreshed mind awareness, providing the necessary human voice and human contact.

Hello Weather confirmed the day of year and what to expect and prepare for about weather hourly to everyone’s area. With this system all Canadians were weather informed.

Hello Weather’s information provided: storm warnings, hourly temperature, barometric pressure, wind’s velocity and direction. Also, average day temperatures, wind’s velocity and direction, average night temperatures and, of course, other weather warnings.

Do Canadians have a better system of easy access and human contact to be informed of our weather? Hello Weather encouraged prevention, built trust and united Canadians.

Sincerely,

Shirley Jones, Surrey
