MALIBU, Calif. – Portland men’s tennis faced its fourth consecutive ranked opponent and came up short in a 4-0 loss at No. 28 Pepperdine  in West Coast Conference action at the Ralphs-Straus Tennis Center on Sunday.

The Pilots dropped the doubles point as the Waves picked up wins at the top two positions.

Pepperdine then controlled the singles matches and earned straight set wins at No. 2, No. 6 and No. 3, respectively, the clinch the team victory.

Stefan Skobelev won the first set against Hugh Winter at No. 4 singles and was trailing 5-2 in the second when the match was abandoned.
