Tuesday’s forecast calls for a chance of flurries in the Greater Toronto Area and wind gusts up to 60 km/h in southern Ontario.
Environment Canada says the morning will be cloudy with a 40 per cent to 70 per cent chance of flurries in Toronto, Mississauga, Brampton, Hamilton, Oshawa, and the Niagara Falls area.
Between 2 cm to 4 cm of snow could fall in the Durham area, the weather agency says. A special weather statement was issued for some parts of the province on Monday, with between 4 cm to 10 cm possible through Tuesday afternoon.
A northwest wind could hit up to 60 km/h in the morning before dropping to around 20 km/h. The high will be around 2 C in Mississauga, but could feel more like -12 C due to the wind chill.
Tuesday night is expected to be clear with winds blowing around 15 km/h in the GTA. The low will be around -5 C in Mississauga, but could feel more like -7 C due to the wind chill overnight.
Looking ahead to Wednesday, conditions are expected to be sunny with a high of around 5 C in Mississauga. The evening should be clear with a low of around 4 C.
