Newmarket – Georgina – Northern York Region

Barrie – Orillia – Midland

Innisfil – New Tecumseth – Angus

Owen Sound – Blue Mountains – Northern Grey County

Brief but intense snowfall could affect road conditions and visibilities.

What:

Local snowfall amounts of 4 to 10 cm.

Significantly reduced visibility in heavy snow and local blowing snow.

When:

Beginning this evening. Snowfall is expected to last into early Tuesday afternoon for areas near the St. Lawrence River.

Additional information:

Snowfall will begin in the evening for areas near Georgian Bay before spreading into eastern Ontario overnight. Given that the heavy snow will be brief, the primary hazard will be significantly reduced visibility as opposed to snowfall accumulations.

Prepare for quickly changing and deteriorating travel conditions. Travel may be difficult.

The Tuesday morning commute may be impacted.
