A snowfall warning has been issued for Calgary by Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC) Tuesday morning.

Heavy bands of snow are moving through the area and localized amounts of five to 10 centimetres are expected.

The weather agency says travel conditions in the area will be impacted. Drivers should exercise caution on the roads.

Snow is expected to end later this morning for areas near Calgary and early this afternoon for communities closer to Claresholm.
