The Leafs announced Tuesday that forward Luke Haymes has been recalled from the AHL on an emergency basis.
Haymes was in attendance at Leafs practice.
Defenceman Oliver Ekman-Larsson was also back at practice after missing Saturday’s game against the Los Angeles Kings with a lower-body injury.
In his first full season of professional hockey, Haymes has 17 goals and 32 points in 63 games.
The Ottawa native signed a two-year contract with the Leafs after finishing his NCAA career with Dartmouth College.
The 22-year-old played 83 career games with Dartmouth, racking up 41 goals and 29 assists. The centre was named to the 2023-24 NCAA All-Ivy League First Team and the NCAA (ECAC) First All-Star Team.
Haymes joins Jacob Quillan, Michael Pezzetta, William Villeneuve and Benoit Groulx as the recent players to get called up by the Leafs.
