An Indian restaurant known for serving American classics like fries has just opened up their first ever Canadian location right in Mississauga.
Uncle Jack’s serves burgers, fries and shakes, but with a twist. They’re having their grand opening in Mississauga soon, and they’ll be celebrating with all kinds of giveaways and deals.
The Uncle Jack’s chain already has 25 locations in India including the city of Chandigarh, but now they’re breaking into Canada with this first ever location in the country that just opened in Mississauga.
The highlight of the menu is their viral cheesy fries, but they also serve other creations such as sandwiches, burgers, waffles, pizza, nachos, hot dogs and pasta, along with a selection of shakes, coffees and other beverages. Uncle Jack’s in Mississauga even serves all day breakfast.
The cheese fries at Uncle Jack’s are mostly notable for their presentation, served in a beaker that looks like it belongs in a science class room rather than a restaurant, and dripping with a molten cheesy sauce.
Varieties of loaded fries in a beaker that you can get at the new Uncle Jack’s right now include Chicago chicken fries, pizza fries and mushroom cheese fries.
In addition to classic beef burgers they also have lots of veggie options including potato burgers and beet burgers, and they also serve a butter chicken burger as well as a double lamb burger.
Many people online have been commenting on how nostalgic their experiences at the new Canadian location of Uncle Jack’s have been, with people saying it’s been bringing them back to days in India.
“Our favourite cafe from Chandigarh just landed in Canada,” one person wrote on social media. “Felt like we were back to those gedi routes with friends; pure nostalgia.”
“Was craving beaker fries so bad and finally found them at Uncle Jack’s,” another person wrote in a social media post. “Had the beaker fries with cold coffee and the taste? Just like I remember. Sometimes all you need is a little bite of nostalgia.”
For their grand opening celebrations, Uncle Jack’s in Mississauga will be giving away free cheese fries to the first 50 people to show up at their door, and will also be offering deals on select items on their menu for just $5.
The grand opening for Uncle Jack’s in Mississauga will be taking place on April 11.
Uncle Jack’s is now open in Mississauga at 1065 Canadian Place.
