Off a victorious series sweep, the Twins head north of the border to open weekend series against the Blue Jays
Winners of six of their last eight games, the Minnesota Twins begin a three-game weekend series against the Toronto Blue Jays on Friday night, looking for their fifth consecutive victory and seventh win in the last 11 games inside Rogers Centre. The Blue Jays began the season with a three-game sweep of the Athletics, but have stumbled since then, losing seven of their last nine, including a six-game losing skid before claiming their first win of April in the series finale against the Dodgers in a World Series rematch. Toronto will start veteran lefty Patrick Corbin in his Blue Jays debut after being called up from Single-A Dunedin on Thursday, after a third pitcher ended up on the injured list.
