WEYMOUTH, Mass. – The Boston College women’s tennis team (9-12, 1-10 ACC) upset No. 24 Clemson (16-7, 6-5 ACC), 4-2, Friday night at the Weymouth Club.
 
Clemson opened up the scoring defeating Olivia Cutone and Leyden Games, 6-2 in No. 3 doubles. The Eagles fought back, responding in No. 2 doubles with a 7-5 win by Tola Glowacka and Bella Camacho. Olivia Benton and Seren Agar fought to the finish to earn the doubles point, taking an early advantage headed into singles play.
 
Clemson opened singles play scoring, defeating Agar at No. 2 singles. Freshman Olivia Cutone earned her first conference singles victory at No. 6, defeating her opponent in straight sets, 6-4, 6-3. The Tigers recorded another victory in No. 5 singles, defeating Nadia Barteck to even the score, 2-2. Newcomer Bella Camacho defeated her opponent 6-4, 6-4 at No. 4 singles to give the Eagles back the lead, 3-2. #124 Olivia Benton sealed the deal for the Eagles with a victory at No. 1 singles, 7-6, 6-2.
