A bighorn sheep smashed through a glass door after reacting to its reflection

The moment was captured on a home security camera in Yuma, Arizona

Viewers joked about the ram’s reaction after the surprising impact

A quiet moment outside one Arizona home quickly turned into chaos — thanks to a case of mistaken identity.

Daniel Lapage captured the scene on a security camera at his home in Yuma, where two bighorn sheep wandered calmly across his property on April 2.

At first, everything appeared normal. But things took a turn when one of the rams caught sight of its own reflection in a sliding glass door.

Bighorn sheep are known for their headbutting battles, often clashing for dominance and mating rights. In this case, the ram appeared to interpret its reflection as a rival — and reacted accordingly.

In one swift motion, it charged.

The impact shattered the glass door instantly, sending debris flying and abruptly ending the standoff. Startled by the result, the ram quickly ran off in the opposite direction.

A second sheep, visible nearby, also bolted from the scene, seemingly spooked by the sudden crash.
