Eastern Illinois junior midfielder Abby Reinl has been named to the United Soccer Coaches preseason watch list for midfielders.
Reinl was the OVC Midfielder of the Year last season after leading the Panthers in goals with eight which ranked second in the OVC for regular season play. During the year she had a streak of five straight matches with at least one goal scored. She ended the season earning third team All-Region honors by the United Soccer Coaches Association.
She was one of 48 midfielders to be listed on the preseason watch list and the only one from the Ohio Valley Conference.
EIU opens the 2025 season this Thursday at Southern Illinois.
