The scene involving Arber Xhekaj and Martin St-Louis last night is generating major discussion among Montreal Canadiens fans.
Last night, the Canadiens had another very difficult outing against the Columbus Blue Jackets at the Bell Centre.
Failing to collect any points in this game hurts in the standings, but certain sequences are drawing even more reaction from fans.
During the game, the camera captured an interesting exchange on the team’s bench.
Martin St-Louis clearly did not look pleased after a specific shift involving his big defenseman Arber Xhekaj.
In the footage, the head coach can be seen pointing toward the ice to correct a mistake.
A poor decision by Arber Xhekaj directly led to a costly penalty for his teammate Oliver Kapanen.
“Arber Xhekaj simply has to gain the red there. That’s inexcusable. Canadiens have to kill a penalty now as a result.”
