WEST HARTFORD, Conn. – The Hartford men’s tennis team picked up win number three on the season defeating Thomas College by a 6-1 final.

The Hawks would take the doubles competition winning #1 and #2 doubles to take the first point. In number #1 doubles freshman Max Poss (South Orange, N.J.) and sophomore Jake Short (Poughquag, N.Y.) would start it off with a 6-1 win. Sophomore Anthony Pomares (Norwich, N.Y.) and freshman Yande Simunyola (Dawsonville, Ga.) would sweep #2 doubles winning 6-0. 
Hartford would win all but #5 singles to pick up the 6-1 victory. Poss would win #1 singles by a 7-6, 6-2 final. Simunyola won #2 singles 6-2, 6-4. Short won #3 singles by a 6-1, 6-1 final. Freshman Thomas Andersen (Berlin, Conn.) rounded out the scorers for the Hawks winning #6 singles by a 6-3, 7-5 final.

The Hawks will travel to Springfield to take on Western New England on April 14th with a 3:30 PM start.
