OPP investigating suspicious death in Perth

Ontario Provincial Police are investigating a suspicious death Sunday in Perth, Ont.

Officers were called to Last Duel Park at around 3:15 p.m. where they found a person with life-threatening injuries, police said in a news release.

The person was taken to a trauma centre and later pronounced dead, OPP said.

Police said the early stages of their investigation suggest there’s no wider risk to the public.

People living in the area should expect a higher-than-usual police presence as the investigation continues, OPP said.
