The 2026 WNBA Draft takes place Monday night in New York City with the Dallas Wings holding the first overall pick for the second straight season.

Last year, the Wings selected UConn guard Paige Bueckers’ with the first pick of the draft. After being selected, Bueckers stood and hugged her former college teammate Azzi Fudd before hugging the rest of her loved ones and making her way to the podium.

Bueckers and Fudd played parts of three seasons on the court together at UConn as both players dealt with major knee injuries in college that sidelined them for extended amounts of time.

While the two seemingly always had good chemistry on the court, it appears they used Bueckers’ draft night as the opportunity to ‘Hard Launch’ their relationship.

Twelve months later, Fudd will be back on the draft floor, but this time her name is expected to be the first one called.

You can watch the 2026 WNBA Draft LIVE Monday night on TSN4/5, TSN.ca and the TSN App. at 7:00 pm ET / 4:00 pm PT.

The 23-year-old won a national championship with Bueckers in 2025 at UConn and returned to school for her senior season and was a key part of a Huskies team that went 38-2 this year.

At -600, Fudd is the only player listed to go first overall with odds shorter than 5-1.
