Concrete outcomes from the April 10 ministers’ meeting
Ministers endorsed a plan to harmonize training for working at heights and mobile elevated work platforms (MEWPs) by January 1, 2027, a key goal for Ontario heading into the meeting. They also agreed to consult on training for hoisting and rigging, and trenching and shoring by January 1, 2027, and to collaborate on training for entry‑level construction workers and construction supervisors with a plan for harmonization expected by May 2027.
