ATP Barcelona Day 2 Predictions
Arthur Fils vs Terence Atmane

Head-to-head: First meeting

Fils is a dangerous threat on clay, but he’ll face some pressure after reaching the semifinals of this tournament in 2025. The Frenchman also had to withdraw from the recent Monte Carlo Masters, making this match his first on clay courts this season. Atmane has steadily improved his ranking to a career-high of No. 41 this week, as he’s put together an 8-10 record in 2026. Fils is more likely to overpower his compatriot on a good day, but injury skepticism and rust could allow Atmane to sneak an upset in. Atmane’s craftiness also makes him a strong threat on these courts.
Prediction: Atmane in 3

Mariano Navone vs Andrey Rublev

Head-to-head: First meeting

April has been a historic month for Navone, as he won his first-ever ATP Tour title in Bucharest. After a thrilling three-set finale, the Argentine took the week off and has the opportunity to clinch his third Top 20 win over Rublev. Since falling in the Dubai semifinals, Rublev has only won one match on tour. He certainly has more aggression and pop on his groundstrokes, but an inconsistent day at the office could result in an upset. However, backing up a title could be a challenge for Navone. Rublev should ultimately fancy his chances against a counterpunching opponent.
Prediction: Rublev in 3

Martin Landaluce vs Lorenzo Musetti

Head-to-head: First meeting

Musetti has not won a match on tour since the Australian Open, but the Italian should have the opportunity to ease back into form this week. Landaluce is a rising star on tour, but ranked just outside the Top 100, the occasion may be too big against a Top 10 opponent. Landaluce has already made a name for himself with his powerful forehand, as the Italian will have to avoid being bullied in the rallies. Various injuries have also hindered Musetti’s season so far, and it should be at least a close two-setter.
Prediction: Musetti in 2
