1 person injured in Surrey hit-and-run collision

One person was taken to hospital after a hit-and-run collision in Surrey Monday night.
Just after 7 p.m. Monday (April 13), Surrey Police Service officers attended the intersection of 140 Street and 80 Avenue for a two-vehicle collision.
One driver fled the scene on foot, SPS said in an email, while the other driver was transported to an area hospital by BC Emergency Health Services paramedics with non-life-threatening injuries
“At this time, it does appear that speed was a factor in the collision,” SPS media relations officer Sgt. Tige Pollock said in the email.
The investigation is ongoing.
