An open beta for Valve’s Steam Link is active for users with the Apple Vision Pro.
Valve is offering Apple Vision Pro users access to a beta version of the app on TestFlight. The latest version of the beta features improved network performance, 4K streaming resolution, and display curve adjustment in panoramic mode.
Slouken, an employee at Valve, shared in a recent discussion board that the client will only be in 2D streaming and will not support VR content. Furthermore, they noted it will be difficult to target small areas with pinch gestures, along with issues with Bluetooth mice when the window is in curved mode.
To be a part of the open beta, users will need to download TestFlight from the App Store. Apple also lays out crucial information about device version that is required for the app to work.
As the beta continues and feedback is provided, the app should improve, giving users a more immersive and seamless experience playing games on their apple devices.
