LEXINGTON, Ky. – Senior Anders Larson recorded a top-10 finish to lead the Eastern Kentucky University men’s golf team to a fourth-place showing at the Bluegrass Collegiate on Tuesday at the University Club of Kentucky – Big Blue Course.
 
Larson posted his third consecutive top-10 finish, carding a 54-hole score of 218 (+5) with 11 birdies across the tournament. The Pine Island, Minnesota, native opened play with a 1-under 70 on Monday, highlighted by three birdies over a four-hole stretch on the back nine.
 
As a team, EKU turned in rounds of 290, 296 and 307 to finish at 893 (+41), placing fourth overall. The Colonels finished four strokes behind third-place Northern Kentucky and six shots ahead of fifth-place Murray State.
 
Host Kentucky claimed the team title at 858 (+6). Kentucky’s Cole Stockard and Marquette’s Vinny Cervantes shared medalist honors at even-par 213.
 
Junior Zach Watterson tied for 23rd at 223 (+10), sophomore Jameson Corbin tied for 28th at 225 (+12), and redshirt freshman Hristo Yanakiev finished tied for 48th at 230 (+17) to round out EKU’s scoring lineup.
 
The Colonels return to action April 21-23 at the Atlantic Sun Conference Championship in Valdosta, Georgia, at Kinderlou Forest Golf Club.
