From his first EVA training at NASA in June 2014, to several seasons of Christmas and now a flyby to the moon and back, NASA astronaut and US Naval test pilot Victor Glover (49)’s family and faith are everything. After a grueling Artemis II mission to the far side of the moon, Victor is back home. He was thrown a grand welcome parade by the local community followed by a stirring speech. Glover, who piloted the Orion spacecraft, shared a family picture with his wife Dionna Odom Glover and four daughters and a son. He tweeted,
Home, again! Mission complete. I hope we glorified God, humanity, our families and our terrific teams at NASA and CSA. Time to share the good news!
Responding to his tweet, NASA chief Jared Isaacman wrote, “You did great.”
Victor Glover joined NASA in 2013 and prior to the Artemis II mission, he piloted the first crewed Dragon spacecraft to the ISS as a part of Expedition 64.

Meanwhile, the first Canadian astronaut to fly to the moon, Jeremy Hansen (50), a Royal Canadian Air Force Colonel and CSA Astronaut, shared his excitement over celebrating his wedding anniversary with his wife, Catherine. The mission specialist for Artemis II, Hansen, shared a pic of his wedding ring floating inside the spacecraft. He wrote
Launching on April 1st meant I got back in time to celebrate my 23rd wedding anniversary with Catherine today! Grateful to be able to share this zero g photo of my wedding ring in person over dinner tonight… as well as some cuddle time on Earth.
Astronaut Reid Wiseman replied to his tweet
Happy anniversary, brother!

Astronaut Reid Wiseman (50) couldn’t have been happier to reunite with his daughters back home. Ahead of the splashdown he shared a lovely picture of them communicating online and later the astro dad shared a fam jam pic stating,
Mission complete <3 <3 <3
During the mission, the astronauts named a bright, unnamed crater by Wiseman’s late wife Carroll, who succumbed to cancer in 2020.
In his picture shared on Twitter, Reid Wiseman held the Artemis II mission’s mascot RISE closer to him, which carries over 5.6 million names of earthlings that’s been sent to the far side of the moon along with the crew. He wrote
It’s hard not to love this little guy. I can’t let Rise out of my sight…currently tethered to my water bottle.

Meanwhile, the internet went crazy over NASA astronaut Christine Koch’s (47) reunion moment with her doggo Sadie and, later, fun time at the beach. She wrote
I’m still pretty sure I was the happier side of this reunion. Sadie taught me everything I needed to know about being an emotional support animal. Didn’t expect that would come in handy.

Firefox’s social media account on Instagram quipped
Gives whole new meaning to the phrase “love you to the moon and back.”
PETA remarked
Our hearts 😭 Sweet Sadie proving adopted pups really do love us to the moon and back 🥹🚀🌕
Astronaut Karen commented
Dogs simply are the best.
