Police are trying to track down the culprits responsible for a “targeted shooting” at a business in Mississauga’s east end near Toronto Pearson Airport earlier this month.
Peel Regional Police say they’re also in search of a newer-model black Dodge Durango SUV investigators believe was involved in the April 2 shooting that took place in a commercial neighbourhood near Aimco Boulevard and Dixie Road.
Shortly before 9:30 p.m. that night, police officers responded to reports that shots were fired at a business located in that area. No physical injuries were reported.
Investigators believe two armed male culprits, both wearing all-dark clothing and black bandanas covering their faces, stepped out of a newer-model black Dodge Durango and fired multiple shots toward a business before fleeing the area.
The Durango was last seen travelling westbound on Aimco Boulevard.
“While the incident is believed to be targeted and isolated, residents and business owners in the area are encouraged to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to police,” Peel police said in a news release on Friday afternoon.
Police are also seeking the public’s help in tracking down the shooters and/or the black Durango.
Investigators are asking anyone who may have been in the area the night of April 2 to review dashcam or security footage during the relevant time frame and report any sightings of the suspect vehicle or culprits.
