ANNAPOLIS, Md. – The Bucknell women’s golf team sits in second place at the Patriot League Championships at the U.S. Naval Academy Golf Club on Saturday. Paige Richter carded Bucknell’s low score with a three-over 75 to sit in third place with 18 holes to go on Sunday.

Bucknell is 12 strokes behind Navy who leads the field at +18 as a team. Navy’s Emma Tang fired a one-under 71 to take the lead at two-over for the tournament. Vivian Cressman sits in second at four-over four the Mids.

Bucknell shot a 308 and totaled 606 after 36 holes of play. Bucknell’s 606 is the lowest first two rounds at a conference championship in program history.

Richter carded a 75 in round two after a first-round 74 to put her at five-over par for the tournament through 36 holes. The senior was four over on the front carded a one-under back nine to close out a strong round. Richter was also one-under on the back in the first round.

Nicole Yun and Sophia Bardunias remain in the top-five after day two. Yun carded a four-over 76 for her second round and moved up one place to fourth. Bardunias dropped from second to fifth after a six-over 78 for her second round. She is tied for fifth with Navy’s Hallie Brisco as both the Bison and the Midshipmen have three players in the top-five.

Joelle Johnson shot a seven-over 79 for her second round to round out Bucknell’s 308. Lila Smith carded an 80 and Katherine Vice shot an 82. Vice is tied for 14th and is +13 for the tournament. Smith is in 18th and is +14 while Johnson is tied for 19th at +16.

The Patriot League Championships continue for one final round on Sunday at the U.S. Naval Academy Golf Club with Bison tee times beginning at 9:30 a.m.
