Barrie Colts eliminate Ottawa 67's from OHL playoffs - Canada News Beep

The Ottawa 67’s were eliminated from the Ontario Hockey League playoffs Saturday night after a 4-1 loss to the Barrie Colts.

The Colts advance to the OHL Eastern Conference Final after eliminating Ottawa in five games.

Colts forward Cole Beaudoin, who was born and raised in Ottawa, hurt the 67’s by scoring the first two goals of the game.

The 67s finally got on the scoreboard late in the second period when Nic Whitehead capitalized on a defensive blunder by the Colts.

The Colts responded with two goals in the third period, including an open-net goal, cementing the team’s win.

Barrie will now face the Brantford Bulldogs in the Eastern Conference Final. The Western Conference Final will pit Kitchener against Windsor.
