Students from Notre Dame compete during the 11th annual Calgary High School Welding Rodeo, hosted by the International Brotherhood of Boilermakers Lodge 146 on Saturday, April 18, 2026. Students from seven school districts competed, with this year’s event theme being the “Welder of OZ,” drawing upon themes from the Wizard of OZ and Wicked Movies. Students completed a Dorothy’s House from drawings, and fabricated a Wizard of OZ theme sculpture from scrap metal.
