Fire in Winnipeg’s Centennial neighbourhood sends 3 people to hospital

An early morning fire in Winnipeg’s Centennial neighbourhood sent three people to hospital Monday.

Shortly after 2 a.m., a fire broke out in a multi-family home in the 400 block of Bannatyne Avenue.

Smoke was pouring out of the home when crews arrived, but firefighters were able to quickly bring the fire under control.

Three people were taken to hospital, all in stable condition.

All the remaining displaced residents were assisted by the City of Winnipeg’s Emergency Social Services team

There is no word on a cause. Fire officials continue to investigate.
