Surrey Police ask public for help locating assault suspect

Surrey Police are asking for the public’s help locating a man wanted in connection with the alleged assault with a weapon of a woman during an April 3 incident in Cloverdale.
According to a news release, officers responded to the 17600-block of 58A Avenue at approximately 8:35 a.m. that day, and the victim suffered minor injuries.
Police are looking for 54-year-old Jason Donald Whyte, who was charged April 4 with one count of assault with a weapon and is currently wanted on a B.C.-wide warrant.
