Students from Nose Creek Elementary School are being celebrated after taking part in the Calgary Youth Science Fair, with organizers already planning to make the experience an annual tradition.

Angela Bain, assistant principal at the school, said the opportunity continues to provide young learners with a platform to explore and present their interests in science, technology, engineering and math.

“This will be an annual Nose Creek Elementary School tradition. It’s so good for the kids,” Bain said. “It’s a really good way for these kiddos who are into STEM to showcase their skills and talents.”

Building confidence and celebrating success

The school is now planning a celebration to recognize the students’ efforts and achievements following the event.

“It was just a really cool experience. The kids loved it,” Bain said.

Bain also noted the broader impact of the fair, highlighting how it builds confidence and encourages students to pursue their curiosity.

She also said moments like these underscore the value of giving students opportunities to explore complex ideas and share their work with a wider audience.
