The discovery of a loaded gun during a traffic stop next to Toronto Pearson Airport in Mississauga last month has led to multiple firearm and drug charges for four teens.
Peel Regional Police said frontline officers seized the loaded weapon shortly after pulling over a vehicle on March 6 at around 7 p.m. near Mid-Way Boulevard and Dixie Road, at the western boundary of the airport.Â
During the traffic stop, officers spotted the occupants of the vehicle to be allegedly in violation of the Cannabis Control Act and Controlled Drug and Substance Act, police said in a news release on Tuesday.
During the search of one of the car’s occupants, a loaded illegal handgun and a magazine containing ammunition were located, according to police.Â

The three younger suspects cannot be named under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
The police investigation continues.
