Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have identified 34-year-old Christo Allison Richards from Ottawa as the man found fatally injured in Perth’s Last Duel Park earlier this month.
The victim was found with life-threatening injuries in the eastern Ontario park on April 11 and later died in hospital, police said.
His death was first considered suspicious, according to police, who then said they believed it was a targeted killing.
OPP said last week they were having trouble reaching his friends and family.
There was no update Tuesday on any suspects or arrests. A number of OPP teams are involved in the investigation, along with the provincial coroner and forensic pathology offices.
