Showtime Australia’s The Michael Jackson HIStory Show is making a return to Canada and will be in the Sault on May 10 at the Sault Community Theatre Centre.

Thirty years after Michael Jackson’s HIStory World Tour took the world by storm, Showtime Australia’s long-running tribute to the King of Pop – The Michael Jackson HIStory Show – is returning to Canada for a national run of shows through April and May this year.
Famously, MJ’s 1996-97 tour – which showcased a retrospective of his biggest hits to that point including Thriller, Smooth Criminal and Black or White – bypassed Canada and mainland U.S.A. altogether, instead concentrating its 82 performances in Europe and Asia.
For The Michael Jackson HIStory Show however, this will be the production’s fifth visit to Canada since it began global touring 15 years ago in 2011.
The tour arrives as interest in the King of Pop resurges, with Universal Pictures’ anticipated ‘Michael’ biopic opening in cinemas on April 24.
Garth Field, the South African performer who took over the lead role in Showtime’s production in 2023, will once again reprise his role in this year’s tour, alongside an 8-piece live band and dance troupe who will recreate some of Jackson’s most famous film clips and iconic career moments on stage.
The setlist is an impressive list of hits that most people will know – and hopefully sing along to – from start to finish, including Billie Jean, Man in the Mirror, Thriller, The Way You Make Me Feel, We Are the World, Jam, Beat It, Bad, Dirty Diana, Dangerous and more.
