LINDSBORG, Kan. – The Ottawa University Braves showed grit and competitiveness throughout the lineup, but came up short in a 4-0 team decision against McPherson College Bulldogs on Thursday morning at the KCAC Tournament.
Doubles Play
Ottawa battled early in doubles, with the No. 1 pairing of Enzo Ceravolo and Jarmo Perez Wienese keeping things tight in a 6-4 decision.
Singles Competition
The Braves showed resilience up and down the singles lineup:
Enzo Ceravolo (No. 1) took the first set 7-5 and had momentum before his match was left unfinished.
Jarmo Perez Wienese (No. 3) also secured a first set win, 7-6, showing poise in a tight tiebreak.
Valentin Corriger (No. 4) was in control with a 6-3 opening set victory before play stopped.
While McPherson clinched the team result with wins at Nos. 2, 5, and 6 singles, Ottawa’s performances in the unfinished matches showed the Braves were far from outmatched and trending toward potential points.
