Two people are in hospital following an afternoon house fire in Winnipeg’s Riverview neighbourhood.
Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service says they responded to a report that a house was on fire near Brandon Avenue and Hay Street.
When crews arrived, they found smoke and flames coming from the home, and began an offensive attack, before declaring the fire under control at 1:07 p.m.
Two people were assessed at the scene by paramedics before being taken to hospital in stable condition.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
