Four people including a man from Brampton have been hit with charges following a raid at a suspected drug house, police say.
The arrests happened on Wednesday following an investigation into a home in Kenora “which was suspected of being involved in drug-related activities,” the OPP says.
Police say they searched the home and found fentanyl, Canadian currency with an estimated value of $8,000, and other items seized including a digital scale and cellphones.
Four people were arrested and charged with drug trafficking offences.
The OPP says Nathanial Matthews, 28, of Brampton has been charged with failure to comply with release order, possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – fentanyl, and possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime – under $5,000.
Martine Petiquan, 45, of Kenora, has been charged with possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – fentanyl, and possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime – under $5,000.
Kellie Twoheart, 32, of Wabaseemoong First Nation, and Konrad Muckle, 33, of Kenora, were each charged with possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – fentanyl.
The accused are scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Kenora at a later date.
